Glynn County Sued By Developer

During their March 16 meeting the Island Planning Commission was told by the county attorney that the owner of the 128 acre Sinclair property on the north end of St. Simons,  SLF IV – GA Sinclair, LLC, had threatened a lawsuit if the IPC turned down their preliminary plat was for a third time. The plat was denied and last Friday St. Simons attorney Jason Tate filed the suit in Glynn Superior Court. According to the court filing, the county’s Community Development Director told the company its plat application was complete and compliant with the subdivision regulations and zoning ordinance. The IPC denied the application saying it was not complete due to sewer capacity issues.
