Belle Point Fire Under Investigation

It only took Glynn County firefighters about 15 to 20 minutes to control a house fire at 130 Belle Point Parkway Friday shortly after noon. But, it took about an hour and a half to put it all the way out, even in the pouring rain. No people were injured and firefighters were able to save a family dog from the fully engulfed home, but were unable to rescue another dog. Fire officials said a woman who escaped the blaze heard a loud “pop” just before the fire started. The cause of the fire was still under investigation Friday afternoon.
