The St. Simons Land Trust closed yesterday on the second phase of its acquisition of a portion of Musgrove Plantation on St. Simons Island. The 90 acre acquisition brings a total of 148 acres under the care of the Land Trust. The eventual acquisition total will be 260 acres and the Campaign to Preserve Musgrove is looking to raise the final $2.8 million toward its $11 million goal. The Land Trust expects to close on Phase 3 by the end of 2017.
